Everything changes. Nothing stands still. In the past few years, I have experienced many changes beyond my control, especially the loss of my beloved husband. This loss has left a constant ache within me, transforming the once happy woman with smiling eyes into a bereaved soul carrying the weight of unbearable sorrow.

However, on the horizon of my life, a glimmer of joy emerges. My son, kind, caring, and loving, has found the love of his life. After years of staunchly declaring he would never marry, he has discovered the woman with whom he wants to share his life. Together, they are starting to build their own nest in a lovely little house they purchased, embarking on a journey of joy and partnership.

As I reflect on this new beginning for my son, I am filled with happiness and gratitude. All the prayers I whispered at the synagogue, yearning for his well-being and happiness, have been answered. Now, as he prepares to leave the comfort of his childhood home, I offer blessings to Kelly, my cherished son, and Andrea, my soon-to-be daughter-in-law. May their lives be blessed with the same deep love and joy that my late husband and I shared, as there is no greater treasure than such a bond. They are truly deserving of the happiness that was bestowed upon us. Amen.
