Betrayal in Disguise
Peter used to say, “Let no act of kindness go unpunished.”
In my disappointment, hurt and anger, I revile you, my so-called family and friends, you two-faced hypocritical couples. Why did I ever love and trust you? Why did I ever believe you to be true and trusted friends and family? Oh, if only Peter was alive, I wonder if you would have ever dared to have behaved in this despicable manner? Your reprehensible actions take away my breath. I gasp in pain. As my Peter used to say, “You are dead to me!” My love for you has turned into repugnance. Yes, Dina, Maurice, Laman, and Jamil, I consider you no more than excrement to be flushed out of our lives. You are vile, despicable, and cruel nonentities filled with empty airs, pretentious, and abhorrent personalities. Why did I even waste my time and emotion on you? What had Kelly ever done to you to deserve the cruel treatment you cast upon him? Kelly has one of the purest, finest, and kindest of souls you will ever meet. He has a heart of pure gold. Maurice, you have a habit gathering people of questionable character and inviting them to our synagogue. One such person is Andrea. She has a way of charming people. She has been casually married several times, but her marriages never lasted very long. She changes men like I change shoes. She needed a Green Card to be able to stay in this country. She cast her eye on Kelly. She realized he was an easy prey.
