Once upon a time, many, many years ago, in Tehran, when the month of March came around, it was a time of joy and celebration. The streets would fill with laughter and colors, as families prepared for the festive occasion of Purim. The air was filled with the aroma of traditional dishes being cooked in every household.

Children could be seen running around in excitement, eagerly anticipating the various customs and activities that accompanied the holiday. From dressing up in elaborate costumes to exchanging gifts with friends and family, every moment was cherished and etched in the memories of all who partook in the festivities.

Grandma Stella fondly remembers the elaborate feasts that brought together loved ones, the joyous music that echoed through the bustling streets, and the sense of unity that prevailed during those times. The tradition of giving to those in need was especially close to her heart, as the community came together to support one another in times of celebration and reflection.

As the years have passed, the memories of those past Purims have only grown more precious, serving as a timeless reminder of the richness of culture and the enduring spirit of togetherness that defined those moments. Though the streets may no longer resound with the same laughter and the faces may have changed, the essence of those joyous celebrations lives on in Grandma Stella’s heart, a treasured link to a bygone era of community and festivity.
