Snow’s Love

Grandma Stella marvels at the tender embrace of snow on the trees and fields, imagining it as a gentle kiss and a comforting white quilt. She envisions the snow whispering to the land to rest until the warmth of summer returns.

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, ‘Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.’
