A Grateful Encounter
No one can ever say anything bad against the police to me. We were out in the garden, Picasso, Ebony and me. Ebony decided to go for a little walk. One minute she was there, the next she was gone. I called her and called her but she did not come! She is so cute, l was sure someone stole her, just like my Sasha. I walked up and down the block calling her name. Still nothing. My voice began to break. I was so sure she was gone. Ebony! Ebony, l called with a little sob in my voice. It was getting dark. I was imagining my poor puppy scared and with strangers.
Suddenly, two young tall men appeared before me. One was carrying my Ebony. They were smiling. I noticed their shields. What wonderful men they are. Can you imagine taking time off to rescue my pup? They had called, but I was out looking for her. They knocked at the door and Picasso barked and barked, but I wasn’t there. They heard me hysterically calling Ebony. They followed my voice. They are my young gorgeous heroes, these wonderful policemen! One was carrying Ebony in one hand. She cuddled comfortably in the crook of his arm as if he was her life long friend.
I couldn’t help it. I hugged them and kissed them!
So if anyone wants to complain about our good old NYC be sure not to do it in front of me! To me, they could do no wrong!
I do not know your names but I am so grateful to you. Thank you, thank you!
